About Ultimate Table Sports

   Ultimate Table Sports runs various tournaments around the Midwest.  UTS already has a Midwest Foosball Tour and is starting their Midwest Bargames tour in Fall 2003.  UTS has been running the infamous Blinkyolympics for the past 3 years.  In the future, UTS will develop League Programs and a Midwest Youth Program.

Friday Nights
    UTS on Friday nights,  will do something extra that most promoters don't do.  They come in a day early and answer all your questions.
    With the Bargames tournaments starting on Saturday early.  There isn't a lot of time to explain to everybody what's going on.  So UTS comes in on Friday night and runs a question & answer session.  This is to explain how the tournament will work, go over the rules and answer your questions.
    On Friday night also, UTS will also run various DYP's.  These will be individual events ran by the same rules, as Saturday's tournament.  So come on in on Friday, ask your questions and get some practice !!!!

Basic Rules - 

    In all these events we ask you tournament players to grit your teeth and have fun.  Some of the rules that you will be playing by aren't the same, as you are accustom to. A lot of players playing in these tournaments aren't regular tournament players in your sport.  As you probably won't be proficient at some of the other games.  Also when somebody tries throwing a bunch of rule at you don't be afraid to ask what's ok.

Remember the First Rule - HAVE FUN !!!!

Start Each Match ….
     To Start each Match, there will be a coin flip.  The winner of the flip will get there choice.  Different things with each event.
Pool - Choice of Breaking
Darts - Choice of going 1st or 2nd
Foos - Choice of Ball or Side
Euchre - Choice of Dealing 1st or 2nd
Bowling - Choice of going 1st or 2nd

In some events where you alternate paying for the games.  The loser will pay for the 1st game and then alternate paying with the other team, all subsequent games in that match.

Tournament Style
     Most of UTS's Bargames tournaments are run in one day.  So we have to keep the events moving.  Most events are Double Elimination  with the winner's bracket being 2 out of 3 games.  The loser's bracket will be 1 game.
     In the case of event type or size of the tournament UTS may change the bracket type, size or number of games.  This will usually be on the flyer.  But may be changed right before the tournament.  Usually notice for this will be given at least at Friday Night Q&A.
